Set Up:
8-12 players are set up in the attacking third, with players starting at the cones. The Feeder begins play with a pass to either one of the attackers, and all of the players release from the cones with the Feeder’s first touch. Play continues 2v2 to completion. If the defenders win the ball, they can score in the small goals set up outside of the penalty area. On goals and balls put out of play, the Feeder re-starts play with the next set of attackers and defenders.
Coaching Points:
1. Check away from the ball before making the horizontal run to the outside.
2. If you have turned to face the goal, aggressively take on the defender 1v1.
3. Make positive first touches towards goal to create better scoring angles.
Progressions:
1. Progress to 3v3.
