Set Up:

25x25 box. Reds are working players with blacks providing a variety of serves. Reds receive from outside players and then turn and run towards the inside players. Example: right foot volley, a left foot volley on the edge and two high headers in the central zone.

Challenges/Topics:

Excellent technical basics.

Intensity of runs to receive.

Quality of serve and concentration on the edges.

Coaching Points:

1.  Ball Control - Choose the correct technique as early as possible when receiving.

2.  Speed of Play - Sprint to every ball and practice technique at game speed.

3.  Concentration - Stay alive and on your toes, even when not directly involved in play.
