Set Up:
Two groups of eight players are set up in the attacking third, with lines starting at the cones. Play begins with a pass from the Feeder to either one of the flank attackers (lined up inside of the defenders) and continues 4v4 to completion. If the defenders win the ball, they can score in the small goals set up outside of the penalty area. When a goal is scored or the ball is put out of play, the Feeder re-starts play with the next set of attackers and defenders.
Coaching Points:
1. The attacker’s first touch should take him towards goal, not out to a wider position.
2. Look to turn the corner and set the ball back from the end line.
3. Hold the finishing run until the setback or the cross develops.
Progressions:
1. Progress to 6v6.
